3 Canva Tricks to Make Your Content Creation Faster

I meet women all the time who hate designing their social media graphics. Like, loathe. And I get it – social media can be overwhelming.

On top of that, learning how to design your own graphics when you aren’t a graphic designer… Whew! It can feel like a lot to my side hustlers and social sellers who already have a full time job or busy family life.

I’m sure you’ve heard about the platform that has captured my heart and transformed the way entrepreneurs approach design and creativity – Canva. As someone who wears many hats, from course designer to small business coach, Canva has become my go-to tool for all things design.

But I’m not just going to tell you about Canva. I’m going to tell you about 3 of my favorite features! And then I would love it if you left me a comment telling me your favorite feature of Canva (if you use it!).

The Branding Kit

I LOVE Canva’s branding kit option and if you haven’t set it up, go do it. No, really. GO SET IT UP, NOW.

That’s how helpful this feature is!

You can specify your brand colors, fonts, logos and even give direction on your branding voice! Then, when it comes time to alter templates, it’s as easy as a click. <3

It allows you to cycle through your colors on any template to see what works best – at the click of a button!

Speaking of templates …

Canva Templates

Literally, there are hundreds of thousands of templates to choose from. From designing a simple social media post to websites to brochures (and everything in between) Canva has a template making your work so much easier.

Here’s my #1 tip I learned from Em from The Insta Canva Collective – pick 5-7 favorite templates and stick with them.

Otherwise, you can waste so much time browsing templates every week. Instead, choose a few you LOVE, brand them and voila! Your feed will have a beautiful, cohesive feel and you’ll be saving yourself hours.

Canva Mockups

If you have digital or physical products that you sell, this one’s for you. You need to use Canva’s Mockup feature!

This is a newer feature that makes the most beautiful mockups. My small business clients use this when they want to show off their beautiful digital courses and physical products. Literally, you can use this to show off your custom t-shirts to handbags!

Kelly’s method makes so much sense to me and just putting everything on paper and then in the dashboard made me feel like I conquered IT ALL!!!
